Events at The Bull

At The Bull, we’re all about getting people together, eating well and making a bit of a day of it.

From baby showers and birthday parties to weddings, wakes and big lunches with friends, we have a couple of spaces that work beautifully for all sorts of gatherings. Nothing too formal, nothing too fussy, just good food, good drinks and a place that feels like your own for the occasion.

The Garden Marquee

For bigger celebrations, our stretch marquee in the garden seats up to 60 guests and comes with its own fully working bar. It opens straight onto the garden, so people can drift between the tables, the bar and the outdoors throughout the day.

It’s a brilliant space for a long lunch, a summer party or a wedding that feels relaxed rather than overly polished. Think drinks in the garden, good music, plenty of food and people staying a little longer than they planned.

Food can be tailored around the occasion. Keep things relaxed with our outside kitchen and BBQ, get everyone sharing with grazing boards, or make it a little more of an occasion with reception drinks, canapés and a three course sit down meal.

The Pantry

For smaller gatherings, the Pantry dining room is a more intimate space, with big windows looking out over the garden and room for around 30 guests.

The large tables are made for sitting around with friends and family, sharing plates, opening another bottle and settling in for the afternoon. It works just as well for a birthday lunch as it does for a baby shower, family celebration or a long, leisurely dinner.

It’s relaxed, comfortable and very much The Bull a country pub at heart, with just enough of a sense of occasion to make your gathering feel special.

We don’t really believe in a one size fits all approach to events. Every gathering is different, and we have lots of exciting food options for every occasion, from relaxed BBQs and sharing boards to canapés and more formal sit-down feasts.
